SICOT, the Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie, is an international non-profit association incorporated under Belgian law.
SICOT’s mission is to promote the advancement of the science and art of orthopaedics and traumatology at an international level, in particular for the improvement of patient care, and to foster and develop teaching, research and education. In 2024, SICOT celebrated its 95th birthday.

Registration for the prestigious 2026 SICOT Diploma Examination is now open. This internationally recognised qualification benchmarks orthopaedic knowledge and surgical competence, offering candidates a valuable credential that demonstrates excellence within the global orthopaedic community.

SICOT is offering a three-month to one-year fellowship at the CEOT, based at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cascavel, Brazil. With 18 surgeons performing approximately 2,500 procedures annually, it’s an exceptional training environment. Deadline: 30 June 2026.

The SICOT 2026 World Congress is heading to Kyoto, Japan — and registration is now open. Join orthopaedic and traumatology specialists from around the world for what promises to be an unmissable scientific and professional gathering.
