SICOT, the Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie, is an international non-profit association incorporated under Belgian law.
SICOT’s mission is to promote the advancement of the science and art of orthopaedics and traumatology at an international level, in particular for the improvement of patient care, and to foster and develop teaching, research and education. In 2019, SICOT celebrated its 90th birthday.

Registration for the prestigious 2026 SICOT Diploma Examination is now open. This internationally recognised qualification benchmarks orthopaedic knowledge and surgical competence, offering candidates a valuable credential that demonstrates excellence within the global orthopaedic community.

SICOT is offering a three-month to one-year fellowship at the CEOT, based at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cascavel, Brazil. With 18 surgeons performing approximately 2,500 procedures annually, it’s an exceptional training environment. Deadline: 30 June 2026.
